Cars have become so important in certain societies to the point where such transportation is required for work, school, or even to get groceries. Car production has become a major producer of revenue and a player in the financial market, because of the need for steel and other raw materials to manufacture them.
Car production is one of the largest economic sectors internationally; however, some countries produce more cars than others. The countries that produce more cars often have a supply of, or access to, steel as well as a strong working population to work in the factories. On the other side, some countries choose to import cars instead because it is cheaper than building the infrastructure to manufacture them.
