The National Football League (NFL) is the world’s premier football league. The NFL is made up of thirty-two teams, with sixteen in each of the two conferences: National Football Conference (NFC) and American Football Conference (AFC). From there, each conference is divided into four divisions: North, South, East, and West.
The sixteen NFC teams come from fifteen states: Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin. California is the only state with two teams in the NFC, Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers.
