GameSir revealed the Nova Vision, a Switch 2 controller with a built-in screen, and opened pre-orders on November 5, 2026. It is the company's first controller with both a built-in screen and adjustable thumbstick tension.
Why it matters
The Nova Vision adds an integrated screen and on-controller settings menu to the Switch 2 gamepad category. Its features give players direct access to button, stick, and connection configuration without relying on console menus.
The controller uses a 1,000mAh battery and Hall effect thumbsticks, with two back levers in place of individual back buttons. Pricing and independent testing of these hardware specifications were not provided in the source material.

The Nova Vision includes VisionOS, an integrated menu for adjusting back lever assignments, stick settings, profiles, and connections. Thumbstick tension is adjusted by twisting the sticks, and the package includes a charging stand with lift-to-wake support for the Switch 2.

The Tech Race
The Nova Vision extends third-party controller development for the Nintendo Switch 2 by adding a built-in screen. It places GameSir among accessory makers competing to add features beyond Nintendo's first-party Joy-Con and Pro Controller designs.
Switch 2 players can pre-order the Nova Vision now, and the controller's built-in menu lets them change button and stick settings without navigating console menus. The controller also works as a PC gamepad, so it can be used beyond the Switch 2.
The takeaway
Controllers with on-device screens and menus shift some configuration out of the console, which may influence how players set up their gear. Readers considering a pre-order should compare the Nova Vision's features and price once retail details are published.
