Samtec Launches 10 mm Combo Signal-Power Connectors
The AcceleRate mP line combines high-speed digital signaling and high power in a single compact connector.
Updated on Nov. 4, 2026 in Data Centers

Samtec has released AcceleRate mP combination signal and power blade connectors with a 10 mm stack height. The connectors combine digital signaling and high power in one connector, reducing overall PCB space.
Why it matters
Combining signal and power in one connector reduces the need for additional connectors on a circuit board, which frees up space in dense electronic designs. The blade placement also provides uniform cooling within the connector.
The connectors are rated for up to 15 A per power blade and 200 VAC or 283 VDC, with the high-density array supporting 64 Gbps PAM4 and 32 Gbps NRZ signaling. Pricing, availability, and independent validation of these figures have not been disclosed.
The players
Samtec, Inc.
Samtec is a global manufacturer of electronic interconnect products, with annual manufacturing revenue of about $1 billion and a presence in more than 40 international locations.
The details
The AcceleRate mP (UDM6, UDF6) connectors use an open-pin-field design offering 60, 120, 180, or 240 total pins on a six-row grid, with 4, 6, 8, or 10 high-power blades. Power blades run parallel to the connector body length, a 90° shift from common power system layouts, and the connectors carry Severe Environment Testing (SET) certification.
Timeline
November 4, 2026: Samtec announced the release of the AcceleRate mP connectors.
The Tech Race
The AcceleRate mP connectors extend Samtec's Severe Environment Testing (SET) certified connector lines into a combined signal and power format, consolidating what would otherwise require separate connectors. This positions the company's high-density interconnect offering against other suppliers serving dense board-level designs.
Engineers designing dense boards can use one connector to carry both high-speed signals and up to 15 A of power per blade, potentially reducing component count and board space. Availability and pricing have not been announced in the source material.
The takeaway
Combining signal and power in a single connector can simplify dense board layouts for engineers. Buyers should confirm availability, pricing, and independent test data before specifying the product.
