Linn has officially released its new 343 loudspeaker model to the global market. The high-end audio unit comes in two versions, featuring sophisticated driver arrangements and unique cabinet materials.
Why it matters
The cabinet utilizes a continuous form to minimize diffraction effects while the down-firing driver arrangement uses the floor as a boundary to enhance bass energy. This design approach aims to optimize acoustic performance within home environments.
The 343 model features an 8-inch bass driver and a 6-inch upper bass driver, with low-frequency drivers handling 70% of the acoustic workload. The cabinet is constructed from a glass-fibre-reinforced moulding compound with a three-point spring isolation system.
The players
Linn
Linn is a Scottish company known for manufacturing high-end audio systems, including turntables, loudspeakers, and integrated music systems.
The details
The Exakt Integrated model is equipped with Utopik power supply technology, Exakt digital crossover, Power DAC architecture, and Organik DACs. A custom triangular-prism aluminium heat sink is integrated to manage thermal cooling for the electronics module.
Timeline
Linn officially released the 343 loudspeaker on October 14, 2026.
The Tech Race
The introduction of the 343 model continues the industry trend toward highly integrated digital audio systems. This release positions Linn against other high-end manufacturers competing in the premium smart-speaker and integrated-component market.
Customers can choose between the Exakt Integrated model for £65,000 or the Passive with Active Bass version for £45,000. These loudspeakers are available in six finishes including Piano Black, Alpine White, and Triton.
The takeaway
The 343 loudspeaker represents a significant investment in high-fidelity audio engineering for premium home setups. Prospective buyers should consider the space requirements for the down-firing driver system to ensure optimal acoustic performance in their room.
