The American Conference named Temple's Carlos Rojas to its 2026 men's soccer Second Team All-Conference.
Updated on Nov. 5, 2026 in Soccer
The American Conference named Temple forward Carlos Rojas to the 2026 men's soccer Second Team All-Conference, and named teammate Taimoor Hussain to the All-Freshman Team. Rojas appeared in all 16 games this season and led the team in goals, points, shots and shots on goal.
Why it matters
Rojas is the first Temple player to earn an All-Conference honor since Kemali Green in 2024. Winners were selected by the league's head coaches, placing the recognition in the hands of the conference's own leadership.
Rojas led the team in goals, points, shots and shots on goal this season across 16 appearances. Hussain, a freshman, started 13 of 14 games and posted a team-best .500 shooting percentage, though the source does not report the full field of candidates.

The details

Timeline
Sept. 26 through Oct. 6, 2026: Rojas records a three-game goal streak.
Oct. 5, 2026: Hussain earns Temple Athlete and American Conference Freshman of the Week.
Nov. 5, 2026: The American Conference announces its 2026 men's soccer honors.
Season Trajectory
Rojas's selection marks the first Temple All-Conference honor since Kemali Green earned hers in 2024, ending a two-season gap for the program. The recognition arrives alongside Hussain's All-Freshman selection, pointing to a rebuilding squad with both veteran and first-year contributors.
Rojas's 6 goals and 12 points lead Temple's offense in the stat sheet fantasy and roster-tracking circles would watch. Hussain's full-90 appearances in three games suggest a freshman already trusted for extended minutes.
The takeaway
Honors like the All-Conference and All-Freshman selections reflect a season's cumulative output, not a single game. For fans tracking the program, Rojas's goal streak and Hussain's minutes are the clearest signals of the team's direction heading into next season.
