Robinson Plans Meeting With Vinícius, Mbappé
The Falcons running back intends to meet privately with the Real Madrid stars before Atlanta plays the Bengals in Madrid on Sunday.

Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson plans to meet privately with Real Madrid forwards Vinícius Júnior and Kylian Mbappé before the Falcons face the Cincinnati Bengals in Madrid on Sunday. Robinson said he will tell Vinícius to stay off social media and trust his career.
Why it matters
The meeting ties the NFL's international push in Spain to the personal and career situations of two of soccer's most prominent players. Vinícius is currently serving a four-game La Liga suspension after pulling an opponent's hair and protesting a red card.
Robinson leads the NFL with 780 rushing yards through eight games, but he was held to 76 yards on 19 carries in the Falcons' 16-0 loss to Tampa Bay. Vinícius has scored only one goal for Real Madrid this season, and the extraction does not indicate how Robinson's workload will change in Madrid.
The players
Bijan Robinson
Atlanta Falcons running back who leads the NFL in rushing this season and is known for his versatility as a dual-threat back.
Vinícius Júnior
Brazilian forward for Real Madrid who is currently serving a four-game La Liga suspension and has been one of the club's leading attacking players.
Kylian Mbappé
French forward who plays for Real Madrid and is one of the most prominent players in world soccer.
The details
Robinson met Mbappé last week at a promotional NFL event, where the two played American football together. Robinson described the Madrid matchup as a playoff-type game for the Falcons, who sit at 3-5 this season.
Timeline

Season Trajectory
The NFL has staged regular-season games in London, Mexico City, Munich and Madrid as part of an ongoing effort to grow its international fan base. For the 3-5 Falcons, a win in Madrid would be a significant step in an otherwise difficult season.
Robinson's production on the ground will be a key factor for fantasy managers in Week 9, with Madrid's schedule potentially affecting his workload. The Falcons' playoff position depends on how they respond after a 16-0 shutout against Tampa Bay.
The takeaway
Robinson's personal outreach to two high-profile soccer players shows how athletes across different sports are increasingly building connections beyond their own leagues. Fans following either sport can watch for how these relationships develop around the Madrid game.
