3T has launched the Racemax+ WPNT, an updated gravel bike built on the original Racemax platform with increased tyre clearance and revised geometry. It is priced approximately €1,000 below the previous Racemax WPNT in an equivalent build.
Why it matters
The launch offers gravel riders a lower-priced entry point into the 3T range, which sits below the ITALIA and ITALIA X lines. The update extends a design first introduced in June 2020.
Maximum tyre clearance is 51mm WAM with a 1× drivetrain, and the frame is aerodynamically optimised for 38-48mm WAM tyres. The chainstay measures 425mm, and the frameset is priced at €2,623 excl. VAT.
The players
3T
3T is an Italian bicycle manufacturer known for its carbon frames and components, which paints and assembles its complete bikes in Italy.
The details
The Racemax+ WPNT uses a prepreg carbon fibre frame manufactured in Asia, with painting and complete bike assembly carried out in-house in Italy. It is offered in six sizes from XS to XXL and features a UDH derailleur hanger and 3T's Semi-Integrale cable routing that accommodates up to three cables.
Timeline
June 2020: the original Racemax platform design was first launched.
November 5, 2026: the Racemax+ WPNT launch was announced.
Roadmap
The Racemax+ WPNT continues the Racemax line first launched in June 2020, updating it with larger tyre clearance and revised geometry. Its lower price places it below the ITALIA and ITALIA X ranges within 3T's lineup.
Riders comparing gravel bikes can use the stated €1,000 price reduction and the UK builds at £4,053 and £4,670 excl. VAT to weigh wheel options. The 51mm maximum tyre clearance with a 1× drivetrain determines which tyre sizes the frame will accept.
The takeaway
Gravel buyers should compare wheel and build choices, since the frameset price and complete-build prices differ substantially depending on component selection. Checking the stated tyre clearance against intended tyre sizes is the most practical step before purchase.
