Norxe Launches Direct-View LED Display Platform
The Norwegian projection manufacturer is previewing its first dvLED platform at IAAPA Expo 2026 and I/ITSEC 2026.
Updated on Nov. 2, 2026 in Theme Parks

Norxe, a Norwegian maker of high-performance projection systems, has launched its inaugural direct-view LED display platform. The company is presenting the product at IAAPA Expo 2026 and I/ITSEC 2026 in Orlando, alongside its new tagline 'Displaying new standards.'
Why it matters
The launch marks Norxe's expansion beyond projection into direct-view LED, reflecting the company's view that display performance ultimately matters regardless of technology. For visitors at the Orlando shows, it offers a new option for large-format display installations.
The dvLED platform supports frame rates up to 240Hz, low latency, ST 2110 IP video and dedicated infrared diodes for Night Vision Goggle training. Pricing and independent performance verification have not been disclosed.
The players
Norxe
Norxe is a Norwegian manufacturer of high-performance projection systems that is now expanding into direct-view LED displays.
IAAPA Expo
IAAPA Expo is the annual trade show of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, where attractions and display technology companies showcase equipment.
The details
The platform is built on Norxe's Unify electronics and API system and is TAA compliant. Integrators can use the Unify Display Manager pre-installation tool to design LED walls and plan controllers and cabling.
Timeline
16 to 20 November 2026: Norxe exhibits at IAAPA Expo 2026, booth #S207, in Orlando.
30 November to 4 December 2026: Norxe exhibits at I/ITSEC 2026, booths #1815 and #1915, in Orlando.
The Tech Race
Norxe's move from projection into direct-view LED places it in direct competition with dedicated LED display makers already serving attractions and simulation markets. The shift reflects a broader industry trend of projection specialists diversifying into self-emissive LED as that technology gains ground in large-format installations.
Attendees at IAAPA Expo 2026 and I/ITSEC 2026 can view the dvLED platform at Norxe's booths during the November and December show dates in Orlando. Operators considering large LED installations should check with Norxe or integrators for pricing and availability, which were not disclosed.
The takeaway
Display technology choices for attractions increasingly span both projection and direct-view LED, so operators evaluating upgrades should compare pixel pitch, frame rate and latency requirements for their specific installation.
