CAVËN Atelier unveiled the Hommage 26 on 31 October at the Concours at Wynn Las Vegas, a rebodied Lamborghini Gallardo designed by Fabrizio Giugiaro. The company plans to build 25 cars, with the buyer supplying the donor Gallardo.
Why it matters
The project reworks an existing first-generation Gallardo rather than building a new car, offering a route to a bespoke supercar using a donor vehicle. For international collectors, it signals a niche market for reimagined classic Lamborghini models.
The Hommage 26 GT makes 540 hp and the Performance makes 560 hp, with an 8,500 rpm redline, from a reworked 5.0-litre V10 that originally produced 500 hp. CAVËN says these figures may still change during prototype development.
The players
CAVËN Atelier
A bespoke automotive company that is building the Hommage 26 as a limited run of rebodied Gallardos.
Fabrizio Giugiaro
An Italian car designer who drew the first Gallardo proposal at Italdesign in 1998 and now works on the Hommage 26 through his GFG Style studio.
The details
Only five exterior parts of the donor Gallardo carry over to the Hommage 26: the roof, side windows, windscreen, door mirrors and their bases. The car has a carbon-fibre body, pop-down headlights and a manual V10, with Fabrizio Giugiaro working on the project through his GFG Style studio.
Timeline
1998: Giugiaro drew the first Gallardo proposal at Italdesign.
2003: The Gallardo entered production after Lamborghini refinements.
31 October 2026: The Hommage 26 was unveiled at the Concours at Wynn Las Vegas.
Roadmap
The Hommage 26 follows Lamborghini's 2003 launch of the Gallardo, which saw 14,022 units built through 2013. It reflects a niche trend of bespoke rebodies that reinterpret existing supercar platforms for collectors.
Buyers face a starting price of €900,000 before tax, plus the cost of supplying a donor Gallardo. Only 25 units will be built, so availability is limited to a small group of collectors.
The takeaway
For collectors, the Hommage 26 shows how existing supercar platforms can be reimagined through bespoke design. Buyers should weigh the high price and donor-car requirement against the limited production run.
