Season Trajectory

A 45-point season-opening win against Niagara sets an early baseline for West Virginia's rotation and depth heading into a long Big 12 schedule. The margin says more about early roster depth than about postseason prospects, which will depend on performance against stronger opponents.

Sadler's debut scoring and the six double-figure scorers give fantasy and rotation watchers an early read on who is contributing. Fans tracking the roster can use this opener to gauge where minutes and production may land.

The takeaway

Early depth is a useful signal, but one opening game is a small sample. Watch how the rotation holds up once Niagara-level competition gives way to tougher opponents.
