Season Trajectory
Roster shuffling is a critical component of the season trajectory, as teams constantly adjust personnel to address depth concerns and injury status. Managing the 53-man roster limit remains a primary focus for front offices aiming to remain competitive within the AFC South.
The Texans now have an open position available on their active 53-man roster. This move allows the coaching staff to pursue new signings or promote practice squad players to the active lineup.
The takeaway
Front offices often utilize these roster moves to evaluate younger talent while maintaining flexibility for potential mid-season acquisitions. Maintaining a balance between practice squad depth and active roster availability is essential for managing team health.
