Do you believe community award programs effectively highlight important local contributions?

Nexstar Media Group has officially launched the search for its 2027 Remarkable Women campaign. The initiative aims to highlight and celebrate women from all walks of life who are driving meaningful change within their local communities.

Why it matters

The campaign serves as a platform to recognize and amplify the contributions of women who are often underrepresented in public acknowledgments. By providing financial support to chosen nonprofits, the effort tangibly strengthens the community organizations these women support.

Eligible participants may submit a maximum of three nominations per email address, with a required 24-hour interval between each submission. The local winner receives a $1,000 grant for their preferred nonprofit.

The players

Nexstar Media Group

This is a large American media company that operates a network of local television stations and digital platforms across the United States.

The details

Individuals can submit their entries via an online form, provided they include detailed information regarding the impact of their nominee. The campaign will ultimately select one primary local winner and four additional featured women to receive recognition.

Nominations will be accepted through November 20, 2026.
Selected winners will be featured throughout March 2027 during Women's History Month.

Market Landscape

This campaign follows the established structure of the annual Remarkable Women national campaign to highlight community service. It underscores how local media organizations leverage their regional reach to bolster brand engagement through corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Residents in the Amarillo area can nominate someone by providing specific impact details through the official online portal. Winners receive a trip to Nashville for national recognition, which serves as a major platform for their chosen causes.

The takeaway

Supporting local change-makers helps foster a stronger and more engaged community network. Readers should focus their nominations on individuals whose local work has yielded measurable positive results in their respective neighborhoods.
