Live Poll

Should reality stars stay on a show after their personal drama alienates them from the cast?

Audience members at the Bravo Fan Fest in Charleston expressed their displeasure by booing Andy Cohen during a recent panel appearance. The reaction followed comments made regarding cast members Amanda Batula and West Wilson.

Why it matters

The tension stems from production decisions regarding long-standing cast members on the popular reality television franchise. Executives reportedly chose not to invite Amanda Batula back to Summer House season 11 due to a lack of organic relationships with the cast.

Amanda Batula is 35 years old, while West Wilson is 31 and Kyle Cooke is 44. These figures ground the current casting shift for the series, which is available to stream on Peacock alongside the recently renewed In the City.

Culture Shift

The public reaction follows the casting overhaul for Summer House season 11 as fans adjust to the new direction of the reality series. This demonstrates a growing disconnect between network casting strategies and the expectations of a dedicated viewer base.

Fans who follow these reality programs can now access the latest installments of In the City and Summer House on the Peacock streaming service. These viewing options provide the primary way to track how the cast changes affect the ongoing narratives of the shows.

The takeaway

Reality television shows frequently undergo cast adjustments that can trigger strong reactions from loyal audiences. Viewers who enjoy these programs may need to adjust their expectations as the networks pivot toward different story arcs and ensemble dynamics.
