This reinforces a statewide trend of incentivizing high-stakes testing success to gain access to prestigious awards.
High school seniors looking to apply must finalize their essays and obtain two letters of recommendation before the December deadline. Eligible students who meet the testing thresholds should ensure their applications are submitted by 5 p.m. on Dec 1 to be considered for the $1,500 award.
The takeaway
Students interested in the program should prioritize gathering their letters of recommendation early to meet the strict December deadline. This award serves as a significant milestone for local high-achieving seniors seeking to distinguish their academic records.
