Why it matters
Local shelters must often clear kennel space ahead of severe weather events to protect animals and manage resources efficiently. Securing foster placements allows the department to maintain safe animal care standards throughout the storm.
The City of Mobile Animal Services Department provides all necessary supplies for pets in the foster program. The agency currently anticipates that Tropical Storm Isaias could strengthen into a Category 2 hurricane by Friday evening.
