Bryson DeChambeau posted a 283-word, eight-paragraph message on social media on Sunday reflecting on his time with LIV Golf. The message came after LIV Golf shut its doors last week, and DeChambeau did not directly acknowledge that the league is done.
Why it matters
DeChambeau is the biggest name to remain with LIV Golf, so his message offers a rare public look at how a leading player views the league's closure. The message provides context for how players who competed in the series are processing the end of the league.
The message ran 283 words across eight paragraphs, and DeChambeau, 33, is a two-time major champion. The source does not detail how the closure affects his contract or future competitive schedule.

Timeline
Last week: LIV Golf shut its doors.
Sunday: DeChambeau posted his social media message.
Next: DeChambeau is scheduled to compete at the Nedbank Golf Challenge in South Africa, an event hosted by Gary Player.
Season Trajectory
LIV Golf's 2022 launch as a rival to the PGA Tour set up a competitive split in professional golf that DeChambeau joined. The league's closure leaves the sport without that rival circuit and reshapes where top players compete.
For fantasy and tournament followers, the closure removes LIV Golf events from the schedule, so DeChambeau's next confirmed start is the Nedbank Golf Challenge. Viewers will need to follow his remaining appearances on other circuits.
The takeaway
The end of LIV Golf removes a major rival circuit from professional golf, and DeChambeau's reflection shows how one of its leading players is reckoning with that change. Followers should watch his next competitive appearances for signs of how the sport's landscape is settling.
What happens next
DeChambeau is scheduled to compete next at the Nedbank Golf Challenge in South Africa.
