The Get Out, a 2026 action thriller starring Russell Crowe, ranked ninth among most-watched movies on Paramount+ in the United States. The film, which was not a box office hit, returned to the platform's top 10 after reaching the No. 2 spot in October.
Why it matters
The ranking shows continued streaming interest in a film that performed weakly in theaters and received mixed reviews. It also illustrates how catalog titles can regain visibility on subscription platforms months after release.
The film holds a 48% critics score and a 49% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, with a runtime of 96 minutes. Its Paramount+ ranking reflects streaming demand rather than box office performance, which the source describes as not a hit.
The players
Russell Crowe
Russell Crowe is an Oscar-winning actor known for Gladiator and A Beautiful Mind, and he stars in The Get Out.
Paramount+
Paramount+ is the streaming service owned by Paramount Global that carries the film's catalog and published the chart ranking.
The details
The Get Out follows Marco Kapak, an Albanian nightclub owner whose club fronts a money-laundering operation. The plot turns when amateur thieves played by Nina Dobrev and Aaron Paul rob him.
Timeline
June 26, 2026: The Get Out released.
October 2026: The film reached No. 2 on Paramount+ charts.
November 7, 2026: Ranked ninth on Paramount+ U.S. movie charts.
2027: Russell Crowe's The Last Druid is scheduled for release.
Industry Dynamics
Catalog films on streaming services can resurface in chart rankings long after theatrical release, a pattern that shapes how studios value back-catalog titles on platforms like Paramount+. The film's return to the top 10 after an October peak reflects that dynamic rather than a new theatrical push.
The ranking indicates The Get Out is available to stream on Paramount+ for U.S. subscribers. Viewers looking for the film can find it on the platform rather than in theaters, since its box office run was not a hit.
The takeaway
A streaming chart ranking can revive interest in a film long after its theatrical run, so subscribers browsing action titles may find older releases like The Get Out still worth a look.
What happens next
Russell Crowe's The Last Druid is scheduled for release in 2027.
