Elastic, Locally Launch Smart Replenishment Ordering
The B2B ordering tool combines store-level inventory signals with wholesale order data to suggest replenishment orders for brands and retailers.
Updated on Nov. 5, 2026 in Retail

Elastic Suite and Locally have launched Smart Replenishment, a B2B ordering capability that uses store-level sell-through data to build suggested orders. The feature is already being piloted with brands including Kamik and Cascade Designs.
Why it matters
Out-of-stocks and inconsistent reordering are persistent wholesale problems because order placers lack visibility into shelf conditions. The tool aims to tie reorder decisions to what is actually selling in stores.
Locally links more than 1,000 premium brands with more than 62,000 retail locations, including 20,000+ independent specialty stores. Elastic reports 400+ brands using its platform and more than 250 integrations, but no pilot performance figures have been disclosed.
The players
Elastic Suite
Elastic Suite is a B2B wholesale commerce and digital merchandising platform powered by Forge, used by more than 400 brands.
Locally
Locally is a local commerce platform that connects digital demand to store inventory across a network of premium brands and retail locations.
The details
Smart Replenishment combines Locally's ShopSense, which tracks on-hand stock at the store level and derives sell-through from inventory changes, with Elastic's ordering tools. Elastic applies each brand's criteria to a retailer's order history to produce a draft order that reps and retailers review and submit in the platform they already use.
Timeline
November 5, 2026: Elastic and Locally announced the Smart Replenishment partnership.
The Tech Race
Smart Replenishment extends Locally's ShopSense store-level inventory tracking into the wholesale ordering process, moving sell-through data from a retailer-facing view into the brand's reorder decisions. It positions Elastic's wholesale platform to draw on the in-store inventory signals that Locally already collects across its retail network.
For brands and retailers that adopt Smart Replenishment, reorders may be driven by store-level sell-through rather than manual estimates, which could reduce out-of-stocks on shelves. Retailers using Elastic and ShopSense can review and submit the suggested draft orders within the platforms they already use.
The takeaway
Brands that use both Elastic and ShopSense can access Smart Replenishment now, and retailers can check whether their vendors are part of the pilot. Reviewing suggested orders against actual store sell-through may help catch stock gaps before they reach shelves.
