Netflix Adds Mistletoe Murders Seasons 1 and 2
Hallmark's Christmas mystery series arrives on Netflix as season 3 premieres exclusively on Hallmark+.
Updated on Nov. 3, 2026 in Television
Netflix added seasons 1 and 2 of Hallmark's Mistletoe Murders on November 1, 2026. Season 3 premieres November 5 on Hallmark+ and is not available on Netflix.
Why it matters
The addition lets streaming viewers catch up on the Hallmark original series before its newest season debuts on a different platform. It also shows Netflix placing a Hallmark title among its top ten shows.
Netflix's catalog currently holds 12 episodes of Mistletoe Murders across its first two seasons, and FlixPatrol places the show in the top ten TV titles streaming on the platform. No timeline has been announced for when season 3 will reach Netflix.
The players
Hallmark
Hallmark Media is the American cable and streaming company behind the Hallmark Channel and the Hallmark+ streaming service, known for its family-friendly holiday movies and series.
Netflix
Netflix is a global streaming service that offers original and licensed television series and films to subscribers worldwide.
The details
Mistletoe Murders, a Hallmark original premiered in 2024, follows Sarah Drew as Emily Lane, who runs a Christmas shop in the upstate New York town of Fletcher's Grove while investigating murders alongside detective Sam Wilner. Emily moved to the town and keeps secrets about her past.
Timeline
2024: Mistletoe Murders premieres.
November 1, 2026: Seasons 1 and 2 are added to Netflix.
November 5, 2026: Season 3 premieres at 8/7c on Hallmark+.
Industry Dynamics
The split between Netflix catalog access for earlier seasons and Hallmark+ exclusivity for the newest season reflects how cable-origin networks are dividing series windows across platforms. Hallmark's holiday mysteries have increasingly relied on this arrangement to reach viewers beyond its own subscribers.
Viewers who want to watch the newest season need a Hallmark+ subscription starting November 5, since season 3 is not on Netflix. Subscribers to Netflix can stream seasons 1 and 2 now without additional cost beyond their existing plan.
The takeaway
Netflix's current catalog offers a quick way to catch up before season 3 arrives on Hallmark+. Viewers who want the latest episodes should plan for the November 5 premiere on that service.
What happens next
Mistletoe Murders season 3 premieres Thursday, November 5, at 8/7c on Hallmark+.
