A new studio cast album for That Parenting Musical is scheduled for release on October 23, 2026. The recording features performances by Christopher Jackson, Bonnie Milligan, Max Mendoza Crumm, Vidushi Goyal, and Scott Rathbun.
Why it matters
The album preserves the work of creators Graham and Kristina Fuller, whose musical explores themes of parenthood through a theatrical lens. It serves as a permanent document of the show following its Off-Broadway debut.
The production was developed at Colorado’s CenterStage Theatre Company, Mizel Arts Center Wolf Theater, and Town Hall Arts Center. The Off-Broadway run took place at Theatre Row in New York City.
The players
Christopher Jackson
He is a prominent Broadway performer and actor who contributes vocals to the studio cast recording.
Bonnie Milligan
She is an acclaimed stage actress and vocalist featured as a primary performer on the new musical album.
Graham and Kristina Fuller
They are the creative team responsible for writing the book, music, and lyrics for the production.
The details
Produced by Ian Kagey, Dan Graeber, and the Fullers, the recording brings together the cast from the show's 2024 New York production. Executive production was managed by Blue i Productions LLC and 19K Productions, LLC, following the show's initial development cycle.
Timeline
The musical was transferred to New York for further development in 2023.
The Off-Broadway production ran at Theatre Row in 2024.
The studio cast album will be released on October 23, 2026.
Industry Dynamics
The studio cast album format serves as a digital archive for niche theatrical works that otherwise risk disappearing after a limited run. This project follows the established industry pattern of producing cast albums to ensure commercial longevity for Off-Broadway shows.
Listeners can anticipate accessing the full cast recording across major music streaming platforms starting in October 2026. Interested fans can currently stream the single Behind to sample the show's musical style ahead of the full release.
The takeaway
The transition from an Off-Broadway stage run to a studio recording allows creators to reach a national audience beyond the initial theater footprint. Fans should look for digital release announcements as the project nears its launch date.
