WWE Crew Leaves Riyadh After Crown Jewel
Talent and crew reportedly departed Saudi Arabia almost immediately after the Crown Jewel event, which ran on tape delay.
Updated on Nov. 8, 2026 in Wrestling
WWE talent and crew left Riyadh almost immediately after the Crown Jewel event. Post-show promos were recorded during the live show, except for the segments featuring Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn.
Why it matters
Recording promos during the live event allowed the production to wrap quickly, while the main event's timing left no window for early taping. The show also ran on a tape delay because of a reduced production crew in Riyadh.
Reigns put Zayn away with two Spears in the main event, which closed the night. Triple H presented Reigns with the Crown Jewel Championship, the Crown Jewel ring, and the Ula Fala.

Season Trajectory
Reigns's World Heavyweight Championship win at WrestleMania 42 set up his main event role at Crown Jewel, where he closed the show against Zayn. The Crown Jewel card continued the storyline momentum of WrestleMania 42 into the later part of the wrestling calendar.
The Crown Jewel show ran on a tape delay, so viewers saw the event after it was recorded rather than live. Fantasy and title-picture implications from the card depend on how the championship storylines develop after the event.
The takeaway
Production logistics can shape how a live event is presented, as the tape delay and recorded promos show. Readers following WWE storylines should watch how the new champions are positioned in upcoming shows.
