Grave Seasons Sets March 9 Release Date
The indie romance-horror game from Perfect Garbage, published by Blumhouse Games, arrives on PC, consoles, and Nintendo Switch after a delay from August 2026.
Updated on Nov. 5, 2026 in Romance
Perfect Garbage and Blumhouse Games have set March 9, 2027 as the release date for Grave Seasons, a mountainside-town romance game that was originally scheduled for August 2026. The game will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch, with day-one availability on Xbox Game Pass.
Why it matters
The delay was largely attributed to challenges associated with console development, and the developer has used the extra time to partner with a porting specialist and optimize performance across platforms. The game is already content-complete, so the remaining work focuses on polish, stability, and bug removal.
Steam wishlist count of more than 750,000 as of September is the only commercial metric reported, with each campaign estimated at 15-20 hours. Multiple campaigns are planned for launch, but the total number is not specified in the announcement.

The details
Set in the mountainside town of Ashenridge, Grave Seasons lets players meet more than 30 townspeople, including 12 potential romantic partners. The game is rated M for blood, gore, strong language, and violence.

Culture Shift
Romance-focused games with horror elements are part of a broader movement in which indie developers combine dating-sim mechanics with genres like horror and survival to reach wider audiences. Grave Seasons follows this pattern by pairing romantic partner selection with a gothic mountain-town setting.
The game will be available day one on Xbox Game Pass, giving subscribers immediate access at launch. Players on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch can purchase it on their respective platforms.
The takeaway
Players planning to pick up Grave Seasons can expect a full, content-complete experience at launch, with a wishlist-backed fan base already in place. Watching for platform-specific performance updates may help set expectations before March 2027.
