Hybrid Software Helix, formerly known as Global Graphics Software, has expanded its US-based commercial and technical team for the Americas. The move follows the integration of Xitron's Navigator digital front end business into Helix.

The expansion strengthens Helix's presence serving digital press manufacturers in the Americas as it supports OEM customers. The additions are intended to respond more effectively to customer needs and support continued growth across the region.

Three named staff members joined or were appointed to Helix's Americas operations, including a Business Director and two technical product experts. The announcement does not disclose total headcount, budget or the number of roles added.

Timeline

Market Landscape

The expansion reflects consolidation among digital front end suppliers for industrial inkjet printing, as Xitron's Navigator business has been folded into Helix. Adding US-based technical staff positions Helix to compete for OEM relationships in the Americas.

For printing businesses that buy digital front end systems, the change means a larger US-based team to handle sales and technical support. The integration of Navigator into Helix may affect which software products and support channels are available to OEM customers.

The takeaway

Vendor consolidation in digital front ends can expand support capacity for printer makers but may also narrow the range of software options. Buyers of industrial inkjet systems should watch how product lines are merged after acquisitions.
