Lynxter has launched the OVERTIME add-on module designed to optimize its S300X-LIQ21 and S300X-LIQ11 silicone 3D printers. This update allows users to utilize the full build volume of these systems during a single print.
Why it matters
The module aims to facilitate the production of larger and more complex silicone parts in higher numbers by overcoming previous constraints. It achieves this by bypassing limitations regarding silicone curing time within the print head.
The OVERTIME module supports nozzle diameters ranging from 0.40 mm to 1.00 mm. It is compatible with the SIL-001, SIL-002, SIL-004, and COPSIL series ranging from 0550 to 4050.
The players
Lynxter
Lynxter is an industrial 3D printing manufacturer specializing in high-performance additive manufacturing systems for silicone and other materials.
Formnext
Formnext is a major international trade fair held annually that focuses on the latest developments in additive manufacturing and industrial 3D printing technology.
The details
The system installs as an add-on module to extend available printing time. Certain earlier versions of the S300X require a specific modification to the print head to ensure full functionality with the new hardware.
Timeline
November 2026: Lynxter will showcase the new module at the Formnext event.
The Tech Race
This development represents a shift toward higher-capacity additive manufacturing by overcoming long-standing curing constraints in silicone printing. It positions Lynxter as a competitor in the race to produce larger, high-volume silicone components for industrial applications.
Professional users can now reduce downtime and simplify their workflow for complex print jobs. Operators may need to check their existing machine hardware as some older models require physical modifications to the print head to enable the new capabilities.
The takeaway
The addition of this module allows for greater versatility when managing complex, long-duration printing tasks. Manufacturers should evaluate their current hardware version to determine if a print head upgrade is necessary for implementation.
