Discord plans to turn on dedicated websites for all Discoverable Servers on November 16, 2026. This change aims to make long-form conversations that are currently locked inside the app accessible to the wider web.
Why it matters
The move is designed to bridge the gap between private community discussions and public searchability. It ensures that valuable insights shared in these spaces can be discovered by users outside the Discord platform.
The new websites will surface content from public-facing server channels to external web browsers. Administrators maintain the technical ability to opt specific channels out of this public web visibility.
The players
Discord
Discord is a widely used communication platform that provides chat, voice, and video services organized into dedicated communities called servers.
The details
While the ability to create these pages currently exists as an option, the upcoming update will enable the feature automatically for all servers listed in the Discoverable section. Server administrators will retain control over their content by selecting specific channels to exclude from the web-facing site.
Timeline
November 16, 2026: The date when websites will be enabled for all Discoverable Servers.
The Tech Race
This development marks a pivot from walled-garden messaging towards open-web indexing within the Discord Discoverable Servers program. By exposing previously siloed discussions to search engines, the platform positions itself to compete with legacy forums and open-access knowledge bases.
Users can expect their public server discussions to appear in search results, making community knowledge more findable. Server admins should review their channel settings to ensure sensitive or private information is opted out before the feature goes live.
The takeaway
This update transforms how specialized community knowledge is shared and stored online. Administrators should audit their server channels now to confirm which conversations are appropriate for the public web.
