Scopely Explore is set to host a Pokemon GO Community Day on November 21, 2026, featuring an increased encounter rate for Pawniard. The three-hour event offers players a streamlined path to evolve the Unova-region creature.
Why it matters
The event lowers the standard evolution threshold, allowing players to evolve Bisharp into Kingambit more efficiently than usual. This limited-time window creates a unique opportunity for trainers to complete their collections with reduced effort.
The event lowers the requirement from 15 Dark or Steel-type Raid Battles to just 1 Raid Boss, while retaining the standard cost of 100 Pawniard Candies.
The players
Scopely Explore
This entity is the developer behind the mobile experience hosting the event.
Pawniard
This creature is a Dark and Steel-type Pokemon that originates from the Unova region.
Kingambit
This creature is the final evolution of the Pawniard line that players aim to obtain during the event.
The details
During the event, players can encounter Pawniard more frequently in the wild, with higher rates for the Shiny variant. By evolving Bisharp within the specified timeframe, trainers bypass the typical requirement of defeating 15 raid bosses.
Timeline
November 21, 2026, 2 PM to 5 PM local time: Pawniard Community Day event duration.
November 21, 2026, 9 PM local time: Temporary evolution requirements revert.
Industry Dynamics
This event follows the established pattern of the Pokemon GO Community Day recurring event model by offering limited-time bonuses and encounter rate boosts. It reflects the ongoing strategy to maintain high active user counts through time-sensitive, specialized gameplay opportunities.
Players can participate locally between 2 PM and 5 PM to maximize their chances of catching the featured creature. Trainers must ensure they complete their evolutions before 9 PM to take advantage of the reduced raid requirements.
The takeaway
Players looking to add Kingambit to their team should prioritize collecting the required 100 Pawniard Candies before the event begins. Setting a calendar reminder for the three-hour window will ensure you do not miss the reduced evolution requirements.
