Victorinox has launched the Huntsman Year of the Goat 2027 pocket knife to celebrate the approaching Lunar New Year. The limited-edition release is restricted to 8,888 units worldwide, with each tool individually numbered and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Why it matters
The company chose the production limit of 8,888 to honor the cultural association of the number eight with wealth and fortune. This release serves as a commemorative item for collectors ahead of the Year of the Goat, which begins in early 2027.
The 91mm pocket knife features 16 integrated functions and weighs 99g. It is priced at $99 in the US, £88 in the UK, and €88 in Europe.

February 6, 2027: Beginning of the Year of the Goat.
Culture Shift
This release follows the established pattern of limited-edition Swiss Army Knife collectables released to celebrate global holidays. Such items capitalize on nostalgia cycles and the growing market for serialized, brand-specific luxury goods among enthusiasts.
Interested collectors can purchase the knife for $99 in the US, £88 in the UK, or €88 across Europe. Consumers should monitor authorized retailers as availability is restricted to the total run of 8,888 units.
The takeaway
This item is designed primarily as a collector's piece rather than a daily carry tool due to its serialized, limited-edition nature. Prospective buyers should note that secondary market values for numbered Victorinox special editions often fluctuate based on regional demand.
