Brooks Koepka made a notable equipment change at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship by swapping out his TaylorMade M2 3-wood. The 3-wood was removed from his bag after showing signs of physical wear.
Why it matters
Equipment reliability is critical for professional golfers, and physical wear on a staple club can force adjustments mid-tournament. The switch to a retro model highlights how players often revisit proven technology when their current setups fail.
Brooks Koepka entered the weekend trailing the leader by 3 shots while retaining his Nike Vapor Fly Pro 3-iron in his bag. The transition marks a departure from his M2 3-wood, which had been a consistent fixture in his setup.
