We Are Rewind has announced a limited-edition portable cassette player bundle, which includes the Syndicate album by The Midnight. This product set will be available for purchase through the company's online store starting on 1 October 2026.
Why it matters
The release highlights the ongoing intersection of modern wireless technology and retro physical media formats. By integrating digital connectivity into vintage-style hardware, the manufacturer aims to provide a nostalgic listening experience with contemporary convenience.
The WE-001 player supports Bluetooth 5.1 and features a frequency response of 30Hz to 14,500Hz. The unit includes a 3.5mm headphone jack and a battery rated for 10 to 12 hours of continuous playback.

Timeline
1 October 2026: The limited-edition cassette player bundle goes on sale.
Industry Dynamics
The shift toward retro-styled audio hardware reflects a growing consumer desire for tactile, physical media in an increasingly digitized industry. This release positions We Are Rewind within the niche market of boutique audio manufacturers that capitalize on the ongoing resurgence of cassette culture.
Consumers can purchase the bundle online for $199, €179, or £159 beginning in October. Access to the product outside of the primary online store remains limited, particularly for buyers located in regions like Malaysia.
The takeaway
Collectors interested in this bundle should prepare for the October launch date to ensure availability. The inclusion of Bluetooth 5.1 allows users to integrate these retro players into modern wireless speaker setups without sacrificing the classic tape sound.
