Introduction
The Muslim population rate in the United States is steadily increasing. Studies estimate that there are currently 3.45 million Muslims living in America, representing approximately 1.1% of the total population. This figure has been on the rise for more than a decade. This growth trajectory has been observed across all states; it has been particularly notable in New York and California. Moreover, the rate at which Muslim immigrants are entering the U.S. continues to increase; a significant percentage of those entering are from Asian countries such as India and Pakistan, while others have arrived from Middle Eastern countries like Iraq and Syria due to recent wars and other regional conflicts. Additionally, many members of the Islamic faith choose to convert to Islam upon arriving in America for reasons ranging from intellectually stimulating aspects of Islamic teachings to finding solace within a tightly-knit religious community that offers support and acceptance during times of transition or hardship.
