Introduction
The Jewish population in the United States is estimated to be around 7.6 million, making up 2 percent of the total US population. This is a sizable number and has been fairly consistent over the last few years. Jews are represented in almost every part of American life and can be found in all 50 states as well as the District of Columbia. The highest concentrations of Jews can be found in New York City, California, and Florida. In terms of religion, Reform Judaism remains the most populous denomination followed by Orthodox Judaism and Conservative Judaism. Additionally, there are several Jewish organizations throughout America that help support the Jewish community such as Chabad Lubavitch and JCCA (Jewish Community Centers Association). These organizations provide services to their members including religious services, educational programming, cultural activities, social service programs, and more.
